Man holds up pharmacy for narcotics
MARTINEZ -- Police say a Rite Aid pharmacy has been
robbed of narcotics twice in the last week, possibly
by the same man.
Sgt. Eric Ghisletta says the man entered the store
at 1165 Arnold Drive at 11:48 a.m. today and presented
a pharmacist a with a note that read the man had a
gun and demanded drugs.
The employee complied and the man left with a bag
full of prescription narcotics. No one was injured,
and a weapon was never seen.
Ghisletta says the same pharmacy robbed on Friday
in the same manner. The suspect's description is similar
in both cases.
The suspect is described as a black man in his late
20s or early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall with a
medium build. In today's robbery, the suspect was
wearing a camouflage jacket, a baseball hat and dark-colored
pants.
